Animal Tales Join us at select animal exhibits to hear a story and test your animal imitation skills with a movement activity! Guests can join us at selected animal exhibits for a story time throughout the spring. We’ll read 1 or 2 books and practice our animal imitation skills with a movement challenge related to the animal we’re featuring each week. See below for the dates, times, featured animals, and book selections. Young Zoologist Practice your observation skills and learn what it takes to be a zoologist. Find our young zoologist stations in the Islands Zone on Thursdays between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to help us track the behavior of some islands mammals. We’ll work on our observation skills by marking where animals are in the exhibits and what they’re doing. Guests will also be able to test their knowledge by identifying different types of animal scat or tracks.
