Eastern Cemetery

About this landmark

16-acre cemetery established in 1844 as Methodist Episcopal Cemetery. One of the few integrated burial grounds in pre-Civil War Kentucky. Closed in 1989 after a devastating mismanagement scandal; now under restoration.
